About Mara

My background is in child, family and adult mental health, with a particular focus on childhood trauma and executive functioning issues.  When working with parents, I provide evidence-based interventions that will improve one's social-emotional and academic well-being. I believe that therapy should be solution-focused and collaborative.

I can work with you and your child at home, in a school setting, or at my office. By helping my clients deeply understand their experiences, I empower them to be their own advocates.

My clients are better equipped to make informed choices about what actions they need to take and develop skills that will help them handle difficult situations in the future. I use play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and neuroscience based interventions to help one express their thoughts and feelings.

If you and your child are looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation, or are just ready to move in a new direction in your life, contact me today.

I also work with adults in helping them manage their Anxiety, Depression and stressful life situations. Balancing your professional and personal life can be difficult.  My clients learn skills to self-regulate, problem solve and make well-informed decisions.

Note to Potential Clients

Having worked with children and families for over 13 years, I have helped many with the challenges they face, and understand how hard it may be to initially seek professional help.

If you are trying to make that decision right now, please know that I am someone that will not judge you, and who really believes that there is a solution for you. That together we can find. You have already taken the first step, now lets take the next together!
